![]() Struggling to stick to your fitness routine? You're not the only one! Every day someone out there is struggling. The best way to overcome this struggle is to acknowledge it and look for a solution! Admitting to yourself that you need help, motivation or an extra kick in the booty is the first step to escaping the rut! Look around your circle, do you have a friend who has similar health and fitness goals to you? If so, schedule a time to work out together each week. Even if it is only once or twice a week, at least it is once or twice each week that you won't miss out on. When you have someone counting on you to show up, you're less likely to cancel on them because you don't want to let them down. If only more people felt this way about their goals when they were on their own, right? Continue the commitment of training with a friend for a few months or weeks until you develop the habit to stick to a routine where it would make you feel crazy to not work out. If you don't have a friend that wants to join you on your journey, book in with a trainer. It's a great investment that will not only teach you how to develop skills to exercise properly, it will instill the right habits and methods to stay motivated so you can stick to a longer term routine on your own. Sometimes I am happy to train on my own and sometimes I enjoy the push or commitment that comes with training with a friend. It's so easy on a cold morning to hibernate and put off a work out till the next day, but when a friend is waiting for you, it forces you to get up and seize the day! I never have regretted a work out that I have pushed myself out of bed for when a friend's been waiting for me. I always end up saying "I'm so glad I did that!"
