Beach Work Outs: Why You SHOULD Do Them!

The beach is one of the best sporting facilities known to man and woman, and I’d like to think it’s been used as one for millions and millions of years. Humans have always loved being near the water, and nothing could be better than dipping into the sea after you’ve broken a sweat. Therefore the close you are to the beach after sweating, the more refreshing your experience will be.

Here are a few reasons why beach works outs are great for your body and mind, and why you SHOULD do them:
  • Training in the sand takes you off balance, forcing your stabilizer muscles and CNS to wake up!
  • The toe separation that occurs when your feet enter the sand is crucial to creating awareness to your    toe muscles, which are often neglected. It requires your feet to work much harder than if there were closed up in a shoe and it also forces your shins and calf muscles to work functionally.
  • The feeling you get when your toes enter the sand is peaceful, nature connecting, and should be enjoyed to its fullest.
  • It’s free!
  • It helps you understand what it is to be human - it gives you the chance to reconnect with different energy systems within the universe and Mother Nature, but only if you let it, and let go from society.
  • The pride you’ll feel when you bring home that sand that’s stuck in awkward places will be well worth the stories and results.

These are only a few of my favourite ones – feel free to comment below and mention any of your favourite benefits or reasons as why more people should break a sweat on the beach.

Love your favourite beach bum,

 CB
